Our Kindergarten program implements an emergent and pedagogical play-based curriculum that is centered on learning opportunities and teachable moments initiated by the children. Play experiences and projects are planned by educators to match the skills, interests and unique needs of the specific children they are working with. The trained ECEs use observation as the children play, determine their areas of interest, then develop a plan or curriculum to direct their learning which reflects these interests.
Nature Based Play & Learning is incorporated into the curriculum. Children spend much time outside exploring and discovering the world around them. The Kindergarten program regularly participates in hands-on nature-based play experiences that inspire inquiry, imagination and enthusiasm.
